BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Seventy-nine student-athletes from the College of Saint Benedict Athletics Department have earned Academic All-MIAC honors for winter/spring 2025, according to an announcement today (Thursday, June 26) by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).

Student-athletes must be a member of a MIAC-sponsored varsity sports team, be academically and athletically eligible and have remained on the roster throughout the entire sports season in order to be eligible for Academic All-MIAC honors.

The 79 CSB honorees were part of a group of 1,418 student-athletes from winter and spring sports honored across the MIAC for their work in the classroom. Combined with the 870 fall-sport athletes honored in January, the overall total of Academic All-Conference selections for the 2024-25 academic year set a new MIAC high of 2,288, which surpassed the previous record of 2,135 of June 2024. This is the fourth straight year in which MIAC's overall Academic All-Conference list exceeded 2,000 student-athletes.
 
With the 79 in the winter and spring along with 41 in the fall, CSB had 120 student-athletes earn Academic All-MIAC honors in 2024-25. In the winter/spring, CSB track and field team led the way with 29 honorees while softball had 12; hockey, 10; basketball, 8; golf and swim and dive, 7;  and tennis, 6

In order to qualify for Academic All-MIAC status, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors by academic standards with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Students must also have completed one full-time academic year at their current institution prior to becoming eligible for the honor.
