High School: Sitzman is a 2022 graduate from Omaha North High Magnet School. While in school, she was on the swim team for four seasons, and she was a part of the Inspire Club Swim Team. Her accomplishments include, Academic All State Athlete, NCPA/SSAA (2019,20,21,22) and Lincoln Journal Star Academic All State Athlete (2021). Her academic accomplishments include, Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair Finalist (2022) and Nebraska Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, 1
st Place (2021). The proudest moment of her career is standing on the State Meet podium for the 100 backstroke as a senior.
Personal: The daughter of Anna and Dan (SJU Alumni), Lauren has one sibling, Anna Kay. In her free time Lauren likes beekeeping, dancing, reading, and Star Wars. At CSB, she is a Biology major and working on a minor in Environmental Studies. She enjoys being a student-athlete and being a part of a community that supports sport and academics.
