2023: OUTDOOR: Earned All-MIAC Academic honors for the 2023 season ... competed in six meets … competed at the MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finishing the 800-meter race in 2:35.11 … recorded a career-best 800-meter time of 2:31.61 at the St. Thomas Joe Sweeney Invitational … INDOOR: Competed in five meets, recording two top-8 finishes … took 6th place at the CSB/SJU Alumni Meet with an 800-meter time of 2:45.11 … finished in 8th place at the CSB/SJU Invitational with an 800-meter time of 2:40.64.

2022: OUTDOOR: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 800 and finished 21st ... recorded three top-20 finishes ... INDOOR: Competed in five meets as a first year ... recorded five top-20 finishes.

High School: Juntunen-Novak is a 2021 graduate of Sauk Rapids-Rice where she participated in dance for five years and track and field for four. She earned four varsity letters in both sports and academic all-conference in dance as a senior. Her proudest moment was her sophomore year in track where she hit a goal time and felt so good knowing her training paid off.

Personal: Ava is the daughter of Nicole Juntunen and Josh Novak and she plans to major in Psychology or Elementary Education. She enjoys being with friends, running and being outside, and likes being part of a team and having the opportunity to stay in touch with the community of the school.
