COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – In the first outdoor home meet of the season, the College of Saint Benedict outdoor track and field team won nine titles, had a pair of top-10 program marks, recorded 23 top-three finishes and 41 in top-eight results at the CSB/SJU Invitational/Heptathlon on Saturday (April 20).
With four events of the heptathlon concluded,
Justus Floren of CSB is second with 2,362 points. The event will conclude on Sunday (April 21) with three more events. Bryn London of DII Minnesota-Duluth leads with 2,595 points. In the events today, Floren was second in the 100-meter hurdles (:16.36) for 671 points. She was second in the 200-meters (28.77) for 571 points. Floren was third in the high jump (1.47m – 4-09.75) for 621 points and second in the shot put (10.04m – 32-11.25) for 532 points.
Sophomore
Jaylyn Ahlberg set a meet record in winning the pole vault by going 3.63m – 11-10.75 and matching her outdoor best, which ranks third all-time in program history outdoors. First-year
Ming Li Raidt was third at 3.33m – 10-11.00 with junior
Sabrina Buffetta was sixth in 2.73m – 8-11.50.
Senior
Ellie Selisker, who finished third in the high jump at 1.50m – 4-11.00, won pair of field events, including long jump in 5.33m – 17-06.00, which is a personal-best and ranks eighth in program-history. She was first in the triple jump with a personal-best of 10.72m – 35-02.00.
In the 10,000-meters, senior
Annie Kiolbasa won the competition in 38:29.54 with two others in the top-eight including senior
Bridget Tetmeyer, third in 39:01.32 and sophomore
Rachel Olinger, seventh in 45:22.72.
Junior
Kalli Smith captured the title in the 1,500-meter run by clocking 5:02.37. CSB also had a title from senior
Sidela Nyuga with a time of 1:00.24 in the 400-meters.
Sophomore
Lauren Berg set a meet record in the 400-meter hurdles with a clocking of 1:06.24. The Bennies had five in the top-eight of the event, including
Anya Adelgren, fourth, 1:11.46;
Samantha Richardson, sixth, 1:16.10; first-year
Chloe Ostrem, seventh, 1:16.69; and
Emma Schuele, eighth, 1:21.56.
Ella Young won the 800-meters in 2:24.86 and led three in the top-eight. First-year
Taylor Radaich was third in 2:26.68 while senior
Lucy Lyngen, seventh, 2:31.73 to round out the other top CSB placers in the 800-meters.
In the 200-meter dash, senior
Tiana Johnson won the event in 26.20. The Bennies also placed three in the top-eight of the 100-meter dash, led by senior
Kate Gallagher, who clocked 12.61. Senior

Myah Nelson, eighth, in 13.28.
CSB had four teams place in the top seven of the 4x400-meter relay, including the winning squad of Nyuga,
Emerson Knapp,
Mirijana Ganley and Berg with clocking of 4:10.93. Finishing third was a team of
Kalli Smith,
Anabella Witschen, Radaich and Young in 4:13.20.
In the long jump
Sabriya Farquharson was second in 5.08m – 16-08.00 and she finished second in the triple jump at 10.59m – 34-09.00 with
Danielle Anderson, fifth at 9.37m – 30-09. In the long jump, first-year Sami Solheid, eighth in 4.61m – 15-01.50.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, CSB had four of the top placers including senior
Keiley Maahs who was second in 12:04.47. Sophomore
Mary Kenney was third in 12:15.86 with first-year
Anabella Witschen, fifth in 12:44.59 and
Emily Koch, eighth in 13:00.43.
First year
Anya Adelgren was one of two to place in the 100-meter hurdles. Adelgren finished second by clocking 16.00 with sophomore
Emma Schuele finishing eighth in 18.01.
First-year
Abby Bufkin was eighth in the 5,000-meters in 20:30.50.
In field events, senior
Haley Joos had a trio of top-eight finishes. She was sixth in the discus throw at 34.79m – 114-01 and seventh in the hammer throw at 41.16 -135-00, which is a personal-best. She was also sixth in the shot put at 11.50m – 37-08.75. First-year
Christian Smith was eighth in shot put at 10.71m – 35-01.75.
