Sabriya Farquharson-Season-Career Results 

2024: INDOOR: Competed in six meets, recording nine top-eight finishes … competed in the MIAC Indoor Championships, taking 3rd place in the long jump (5.33m) (17’6”) (4th All-Time CSB History) and 6th place in the triple jump (10.62m) (34’10.25”) … earned All-MIAC honors for her performance in the long jump and All-MIAC Honorable Mention for her performance in the triple jump ... took 1st place in the triple jump, setting a career-best of 11.11m (36’5.5”) (4th All-Time CSB History) at the CSB/SJU Alumni Meet … recorded a pair of wins in the long jump (5.29m) (17’4.5”) and the triple jump (10.60m) (34’9.5”) at the CSB/SJU Invitational … took 1st place in the triple jump with a mark of 10.74m (35’3”) and took 2nd place in the long jump with a career-best mark of 5.33m (17’6”) at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic. 

High School: A 2023 graduate of Saint Augustine's College, Farquharson competed in track and field for six years. Her accomplishments in track and field include, 1st Place Long Jump BAISS Champion (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022) and 1st Place Triple Jump BAISS Champion (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022). Her proudest moment in her track and field career was becoming a long jump Carifta Games Qualifier in 2022 with a jump of 5.71 meters and placing fifth overall, ranking her the fifth best long jumper in the Caribbean in 2022. 

Personal: The daughter of Barbara and Silvan Farquharson, Sabriya has four siblings: Devon, Silvan II, Simeon, and Samuel Farquharson. Her brother, Simeon also attended CSB/SJU. Sabriya is a Chemistry major at CSB/SJU. She likes being a collegiate student-athlete because she gets to be an example of balance, focus and perseverance to her mentees back in the Bahamas. Becoming a student-athlete after recovering from injury shows her drive and power.
