Ella Young-Season-Career Results 

2024: INDOOR: Did not compete during the indoor season.

2023: OUTDOOR: Earned Academic All-MIAC honors for the 2023 season ... earned CSC Academic All-District honors in Track and Field/Cross Country for the 2023 season ... competed in 7 meets, recording eleven top-8 finishes … competed in the MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 800-meter (2:21.02), 4x400 (3:57.18), 4x800 (9:43.64), and the javelin throw (27.67m) ... earned All-MIAC honors for her performance in the 4x400 relay … took 2nd place in the 800-meter with a time of 2:21.93 at the Norse Invite … finished in 5th place in the 800-meter at the Running on Hope Invitational with a time of 2:20.41 … won the 400-meter and set a career-best of 1:00.69 at the Janis Rider/Doug Bolstorff Invitational … took 5th place in the 800-meter with a time of 2:16.60 (4th all-time best CSB history) and set a career-best in the javelin throw of 28.03m at the St. Thomas Joe Sweeney Invitational … set a career-best in the 800-meter at the UWL Final Qualifier with a time of 2:16.60 … INDOOR: Competed in two meets … took 6th place at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic in the 800-meter with a time of 2:31.98.

High School: Young is a 2020 graduate of Hudson Senior High School where she participated soccer, basketball, and cross country for four years. Her accomplishments for soccer include Big Rivers Conference Champions in 2019, Big Rivers Second Team All-Conference in 2019 and academic all-conference in 2019. She was part of the 2017 conference champion cross country team and earned academic all-conference in basketball and cross country 2018 and 2019. The proudest moment of her running career was working with her teammates to finish first place as a team on a tough cross county course, to later qualify for state.
 
Personal: Ella is the daughter of Greg and Heidi Young and she has two siblings, Isaac and Kira. Some of her favorite activities include art, being outdoors, playing the flute, singing in choir, church, basketball, cross country, and playing soccer. Ella is majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Pre-Med, and in her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, Nordic and downhill skiing, creative lettering, and anything else that involves the outdoors! Ella loves the opportunity to be competitive, continue her love for the sport, cultivate strong relationships with others, and practice her leadership and teamwork skills.
