High School: Kate is a 2020 graduate of Shanley High School where she competed in cross country for six years and ran at the North Dakota Class A State Meet three times. She was also involved in weightlifting for four years and was named the club's Weightlifter of the Year two years in a row. She also competed in track and field for five years where she made the 2018 North Dakota Class A Indoor State meet in the 60-, 100- and 200-meter dashes. Gallagher also qualified for the North Dakota Class A State Meet in five events. Her proudest moment was placing eighth in the 100-meter dash at the 2019 N.D. Class A State meet or being Weightlifter of the Year two years in a row.
Personal: Kate is the daughter of Kris and Mike Gallagher. She has one brother, Thomas. Her hobbies include training dogs, weightlifting, and hiking. Gallagher likes being a collegiate student-athlete because she is able to be surrounded by a community that is supportive on the track as well as in everyday life. She is and exercise and health science major.
