Farquharson, Brown lead CSB Track and Field to top team finish at Meet of the Hearts

 NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Led by three titles, including individual crowns from Sabriya Farquharson and Samantha Brown and a 4x400-meter relay title, the College of Saint Benedict track and field team placed first of eight teams with 178.70 points at the Kelly Family Meet of the Heart. CSB also had nine top three finishes in another standout performance.

Sophomore Sabriya Farquharson captured the triple jump with a season-best 10.76M – 35-03.75. First year Maggie McCabe was fourth at 9.85M – 32-00.00. The Bennies also captured a title in the high jump as sophomore Samantha Brown had a jump of 1.48M – 4-10.25. Sophomore Anna Kemp was second in 1.43M – 4-08.25.

CSB finished with three of the four spots in the 400-meter dash as first-year Ava Revoir finished second in a personal best of 1:00.34, which ranks eighth all-time at CSB while Lauren Berg was third in 1:01.01 with Emerson Knapp, fourth in 1:02.06. Revoir, Knapp, Berg and Kalli Smith surpassed a season best in winning the 4x400-meter relay, clocking 4:07.20. St. Ben's had six of the top eight spots in the 800-meter run, led by senior Kalli Smith in 2:26.13 in second and sophomore Anabella Witschen in third at 2:26.62.

The Bennes also had a second-place finish from first year Allison Banse in the shot put with a PR of 11.22M – 3609.75. Sophomore Anya Adelgren was second in the 55-meter hurdles in 9.11 while Chloe Ostrem took seventh in a PR of 9.65.

St. Benedict had another second-place finish in the pole vault as junior Jaylyn Ahlberg had a vault of 3.37M – 11-00.75. In total, CSB had three vaulters in top sixth with first-year McKenna Flinn, fourth, 2.82M – 9-03 and sophomore Lili Raidt, sixth, tying for sixth at 2.82M – 9-03.  

In the 55-meter dash, senior Justus Floren was third with a personal-best 7.57 with sophomore Grace Buntrock, fifth, 7.68.

First-year Allee Feldman was fourth in the 200-meter dash in 27.81 with Buntrock taking seventh in 28.24.

Lucy Lyngen was sixth in the 3,000-meters by clocking a personal-best 10:39.39.

First-year Karcyn Dose placed fifth in the 600-meter run in 1:50.78.

Junior Brooke Verkinnes was fourth in the 1,000-meter run with a 3:13.61 clocking. Also for CSB, sophomore Taylor Radaich was fourth in 5:25.36 with junior Natalie Zielsdorf, sixth in 5:34.50 in the mile run. And, CSB's top placer in the weight throw was first-year Erin Baker at 12.41M – 40-08.75.
