Results

LACROSSE, Wis. – Senior Lauren Berg (Bemidji, Minn.) finished 15th (1:02.29) in the 400-meter hurdles in her NCAA Track & Field Championship debut. The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) added the All-America second team in 2024 to include individuals placed ninth through 16th, as well as members of ninth- and 10th-place relays.

Berg improved her seed time by three spots, jumping from 18th (1:01.49) to 15th. She earned a spot in the 400-meter hurdles and entered the national meet ranked No. 18 out of 22 competing athletes. She secured her qualification after a record-breaking performance at the MIAC Outdoor Championships, where she earned All-MIAC honors with a runner-up finish in 1:01.49. The time shattered her previous school record of 1:02.18, which she established in 2025.

Her finish is the highest by a CSB athlete in program history and she is the first student-athlete to qualify for nationals since Jaylyn Ahlberg and Fiona Smith in 2024.

Berg finished her career with 16 All-MIAC and honorable mention accolades. She won 27 titles, finished second 16 times and had 76 top-four finishes individually or as a member of a relay for CSB. In the 400-meter hurdles, she had 22 top-four finishes, winning the event seven times with a dozen overall top two finishes.
