INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the first time in her career, senior
Lauren Berg of the College of Saint Benedict outdoor track and field team has qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, scheduled for May 21-23 at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis.

Berg, a native of Bemidji, Minn., earned a spot in the 400-meter hurdles and enters the national meet ranked No. 18 in NCAA Division III. She secured her qualification after a record-breaking performance at the MIAC Outdoor Championships, where she earned All-MIAC honors with a runner-up finish in 1:01.49. The time shattered her previous school record of 1:02.18, which she established in 2025.
A standout throughout her career, Berg has collected 16 career All-MIAC and honorable mention accolades.
Berg is scheduled to compete in the preliminary round of the 400-meter hurdles at 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. The NCAA accepted 22 declared student-athletes into each individual event, including the decathlon and heptathlon.
