COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. –
Lauren Berg was part of two titles while both
Sabriya Farquharson and
Maggie McCabe also claimed titles as the College of Saint Benedict track and field team continued to shine in 2025 with a strong performance at the CSB/SJU Optimistic Meet on Friday at Clemens Stadium.
Counting the four titles, CSB had 15 top three finishes at the competition, which served as CSB's home opener for the outdoor season. Next for CSB will the Hamline Invitational on April 5.
Junior
Lauren Berg won her second outdoor title of the spring by clocking 1:04.57 in the 400-meter hurdles with a mark that is just off her career best (1:03.38) but ranks 10
th in DIII. In the 400-meter hurdles race, the Bennies placed three in the top six as sophomore
Chloe Ostrem was third with a personal-best of 1:08.17 and 38
th in DIII. Sophomore
Anya Adelgren was sixth in 1:11.06.
Berg also played a role in helping the 4x400-meter relay to first place as they clocked 4:10.88 – 27
th in DIII this year. Also on the team was first-year

Kalli Smith. CSB was also third in the race in 4:24.95 with a team of

Sabriya Farquharson captured the long jump crown by going 5.28-meters – 17-04.00, which is 20
th in DIII.
First-year
Maggie McCabe led a 1-2-3 finish in the triple jump. McCabe took the title at 10.35 meters – 33-11.50 and she was followed by first-year
Anna Gries at 10.08 meters – 33-01.00 and sophomore
Samantha Solheid was third in 9.92 meters – 32-06.50. Solheid, Gries, and McCabe also placed in the long jump with Solheid taking third at 5.01 meters – 16-05.25; Gries, fourth in 4.91 meters – 16-01.50 and McCabe, fifth in 4.80-meters – 15-09.00.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, junior
Mary Kenney registered a personal-best of 11:45.98 in finishing second. She was one of five in the top six for CSB. Others included senior

Ava Revoir was second in 400 meters with an outdoor PR of 1:01.06. First year
Erin O'Connor was sixth with a personal best of 1:04.85.
Sophomore
Taylor Radaich recorded her outdoor personal-best in the 800-meter of 2:20.82 to place second. It is her second-best performance indoor (2:20.00, 2024) or outdoor.
The Bennies placed second in the 4x100-meter relay with a clocking of 50.89. The relay included sophomore sophomore

Jaylyn Ahlberg was third in the pole vault at 3.42 meters – 11-02.50 for 15

Natalie Zielsdorf placed fifth with a personal-best of 5:06.94.

Chloe Ostrem finished fourth in 16.15, a mark that ranks 43 in DIII. Also in top eight was

CSB had a fifth-place finish in the 200-meters from first-year
Allee Feldman, who had her best time outdoors in 200 meter.

Justus Floren was fifth in the javelin throw at 35.29-meters – 115-09. First year
Allison Banse placed seventh in the discus at 36.51 meters – 119-09. In the high jump, first-year Kierra Stommer has a personal-best of 1.50 meters – 4-11.0 in placing ninth. In the hammer throw, CSB had an 11
th place finish from sophomore
Christian Smith at 38.62 meters – 126-08.
