ST. PAUL, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict track and field team used three wins, five times or marks in the top 10 in school history and several personal bests to propel itself to a win at the 11-team Macalester Invite Saturday afternoon in St. Paul, Minn.

The Blazers won the meet with 171 points. St. Olaf took second with 145, Carleton finished third (120.5), Macalester fourth (102.5) and Bethel rounded out the top five with 81.5 points.

Allison Kosobud, Brooke Rasmussen and London Stelten all picked up wins for the Blazers. Stelten won the pole vault with a mark of 3.35 meters – a new personal best, the best mark in the conference and tied for sixth in school history.

Rasmussen won the 10,000-meter run in 38:19.51, which is the sixth-best time in school history and a new personal best, and Kosobud took first in the 800-meter run. Her time of 2:15.91 is a season best, fourth-fastest time in the MIAC and would be third in school history if she didn't already own the school record. CSB's 1,600-meter relay squad of Maria Kiminski, Olivia Dengel, Megan Sundstrom and Kosobud won in 4:01.22.

Dengel, a first year, also competed in the 800 and took fifth in 2:19.50 – the 10th-best time in school history. One week after moving herself up to third in the school record books, first year Natalie Frier improved on her 100-meter hurdle time even more. She took third in the event in 15.33 seconds, a new PR and the third-best time in school history. It is also the fifth-best time in the MIAC to date.

Junior Anna Wagner also improved on her personal best and cemented her place in school history. She finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 10.88 meters – the fifth-best mark in school history. In the 400-meter hurdle race, Sundstrom took second in 1:06.59, the fourth-best time in the MIAC this season. Kiminski took third in 1:09.78, and Karly Betterman rounded out the top five in 1:11.82.

Jenna O'Donnell and Elise Reid both recorded season bests in the steeplechase. O'Donnell finished third in 11:46.39 and Reid took fourth in 11:52.05 – a new season and personal best. Other top-five finishes for CSB included Kiley Green, who took third in the 1,500 in 4:51.74. Dayna Johnson took fourth in the 5,000 in 20:11.20, and Mattia Hendrickson and Esther Banaian took third and fourth, respectively, in the 10,000. Hendrickson finished in 41:25.98 and Banaian in 44:21.47.

Alexis Good took fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.49 meters, and Samantha VanErp took fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.05 meters. Anna Davis tied for fifth in the pole vault with a height of 2.75 meters, and Angela Charley and Kirsten Montray took fourth and fifth in the shot put. Charley recorded a throw of 10.22 meters and Montray finished with a toss of 8.63 meters.

The Blazers' 400 relay squad of VanErp, Audrey Fricke, Frier and Suzi Adams took second in 50.77 seconds, and Manon Gammon-Deering, Haley Lynch, Emma Weber and Green took third in the 3,200 relay in 10:08.37.

CSB competes Wednesday, April 29, at the Tommie Twilight in St. Paul, then is off until the MIAC Outdoor Championships, which run May 8-9 at Macalester.
