College of Saint Benedict Athletics

Last week, Madison Weiss had a big week for the College of Saint Benedict volleyball team. Not to be outdone by her twin, this week it was Hunter Weiss’ turn.
 
Hunter Weiss, a first-year right side hitter on the volleyball team, follows her twin sister as this week’s CSB Athlete of the Week. She had double-digit kills in both of the matches for CSB last week, starting the week off with 11 kills in a loss to No. 21 St. Thomas.
 
To wrap up the week, Weiss had a career-high 17 kills in a 3-0 sweep of Hamline University Friday evening. She averaged 5.67 kills per set against Hamline and finished the match with a .414 hitting percentage. Also in CSB’s win over Hamline, Weiss had three block assists and now currently leads the team with 127 kills and is third with 25 total blocks.
 
Weiss and her teammates play their next match at home on Tuesday, Sept. 26, when they host St. Scholastica in a nonconference match.
