ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – During the indoor track season, Kiley Green recorded top-10 times in College of Saint Benedict track and field history in all but one meet she competed in, and she finished the season with the school record in the 3,000-meter run.
In her first outdoor meet of her senior season, Green picked up right where she left off in indoor.
Green added a second school record to her resume Sunday afternoon when she beat the previous record in the 5,000-meter run by just under a second at the Hamline Invite. For her performance, Green has been named the CSB Athlete of the Week.
Green, a Draper, Utah, native, now owns two school records and has a top-10 time in CSB history in four other events in indoor and outdoor track and field. Her latest record came in her first outdoor meet of the year. She finished fifth in the 5,000 in 17:55.40 – a personal best by 14 seconds and just under one second faster than the old record of 17:56.21, set in 2008 by Margot Branigan.
Green’s time is also in the top 30 in Division III. She is currently 29

Green now owns the school record in the outdoor 5,000 and the indoor 3,000. She first set the 3K record at the St. Olaf Invite in late February, and bettered her own time at the conference indoor championships. She is also in the indoor top 10 in the mile (sixth) and 5K (second) and in the outdoor top 10 in the 1,500 (sixth) and 10K (third).
Green and the Blazers compete at home for the first time during the outdoor season Saturday, April 9, when they host the CSB|SJU Invite at Clemens Stadium on the SJU campus. The meet starts at 11 a.m.
