CSB Track and Field records 5 All-MIAC and 9 HM All-MIAC efforts to place 5th at MIAC Indoor Championship

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Sabriya Farquharson won a title in the triple jump as the College of Saint Benedict track and field team finished with two titles, five All-MIAC performances, nine honorable mention All-MIAC performances and nine program top-10 marks as the Bennies placed fifth with 94.25 points at the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championship which concluded on Saturday (March 1) at the Donald McNeely Spectrum.

Bethel captured the team title as they finished with 140.25 points with St. Olaf, second, at 107.25 and Concordia-Moorhead, third, with 103 points. Gustavus Adolphus finished just ahead of St. Benedict, 95.5 to 94.25 in a conference competition which included 12 teams. The Bennies, directed by head coach Robin Balder-Lanoue, have now finished fifth or higher at the MIAC Indoor Championship in each of the past four seasons and 19 times in program history.

Farquharson highlighted a number of outstanding efforts by the Bennies on Saturday. She won her 2nd career MIAC title by capturing the triple jump in a career-best 11.40M - 37-05.00. It is a mark that ranks third all-time and is 36th in NCAA DIII. Additionally, it was her first MIAC indoor crown and fourth overall win in 2025.

During the three days of competition, CSB had five All-MIAC performances (top three in an event) and eight honorable mention All-MIAC Honors (finish 4th-6th).

Saturday Recap -
Farquharson's title winning performance in the triple jump highlighted CSB's effort on the final day of competition. Yet, it was a day of achievement for the Bennies which finished a little more than a point out of fourth place.

In the 600-meters, CSB had two student-athletes place in the top six, including Berg with an All-MIAC honorable mention performance of 1:36.98, a season-best and second best in school history only to her own 1:36.28 in 2023. First-year. Ava Revoir was sixth in same event in 1:40.36.

CSB's 4x400-meter relay of Knapp, Revoir, Smith, and Berg was fourth in 4:07.38.

Aside from Farquharson in the triple jump, CSB had two others record points in the field event. First-year Anna Gries was fifth in 10.49M – 34-05. First-year Maggie McCabe was seventh in 10.28M – 33-08.75.

In the 1,000-meter race, Taylor Radaich and Kalli Smith both recorded career-best marks and placed in the top eight to secure CSB six team points. Radaich placed fifth by clocking a 3:03.09, a mark that ranks seventh all-time at CSB. Smith's 3:03.83 was seventh in the event with a time that sits eighth all-time at St. Ben's.

In her first MIAC meet, Allison Banse stepped up by recording a career-best of 11.77M – 38-07.50 and placed sixth in the shot put. Her throw ranks 10th all-time indoors in CSB program history.

Sophomore Samantha Brown registered a personal-best in placing seventh in the high jump of 1.51M – 4-11.50. First-year Kiera Stommes also placed in the event (eighth) by going 1.46M – 4-09.50.

The 4x200-meter relay, a squad of Grace Buntrock, Anna Gries, Anya Adelgren and Allee Feldman, was ninth with a season-best 1:49.08.
