Emily Engelmeier was a strikeout machine for the Blazer softball team as they swept Minnesota Morris.

The first-year pitched took the circle in game two against the Cougars, and threw six innings of shutout ball, fooling hitters all the way through the line-up. Engelmeier opened the game by strikeing out the side, on her way to fanning the first four batters she faced. She never let up either, finishing with an astounding 14 on the day. She posted at least two strikeouts in each inning, including the first out of all six innings that she pitched.

She allowed just one harmless hit and no runs in earning the first win of her young career, leading the Blazers to a 4-1 decision as they completed the doubleheader sweep. In the game, she faced just four batters over the minimum.
