NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Sophomore Sabriya Farquharson of the College of Saint Benedict track and field team has earned All-Region honors in the triple jump from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Lily Treml - MIAC Rookie of the Year - 2025The USTFCCCA All-Region award recognizes the top five individuals in each event per region, as well as members of the top three relay teams. Regional divisions include the East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West.

A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Farquharson secured All-Region recognition with a standout performance in the triple jump. She won the MIAC title in the event with a personal-best mark of 11.76 meters (38-07), surpassing the previous school record of 11.57 meters (37-11.5) set by BriAnn Erpelding in 1997. Her jump currently ranks 27th in NCAA Division III and tied for fifth in the North Region.

Farquharson's victory was instrumental in helping the Bennies finish fifth as a team with 102.5 points at the MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in St. Paul, Minn. CSB concluded the meet with an impressive showing: two individual titles, six All-MIAC honors, 13 honorable mention finishes, two school records, and seven performances that rank among the top 10 in program history.

This marks Farquharson's second MIAC outdoor title—she previously claimed the long jump crown in 2024—and her third overall, including an indoor triple jump title in 2025. Additionally, she has earned All-MIAC recognition in the indoor long jump (2024) and received honorable mention honors in the triple jump both indoors and outdoors in 2024.
