NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The College of Saint Benedict Track and Field team has once again demonstrated its excellence in the classroom, earning its 19th consecutive U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honor. In addition, three Bennie student-athletes received individual USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition for their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
Under the leadership of Head Coach
Robin Balder-Lanoue, the Saint Benedict program has long been a model of success in both competition and academics within the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). With this year's honor, CSB has now earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team distinction 23 times overall and every year since 2007.
To qualify for the team award, programs must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher. The Bennies exceeded that standard once again, posting a 3.632 team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year. On the track, they placed fifth at both the MIAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
Three Bennies were recognized individually:
-
Lauren Berg, a junior biology/pre-med major from Bemidji, Minn., earned All-Academic honors for the third time.
-
Justus Floren, a senior nursing major from Sauk Rapids, Minn., also received the accolade for the third time.
-
Lili Raidt, a sophomore nursing major from Waconia, Minn., earned her first All-Academic honor.
To qualify for USTFCCCA individual academic honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and rank among the top 50 individuals in NCAA Division III in their respective events.
