ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – After completing the season sweep of Saint Mary's on Wednesday, the College of Saint Benedict basketball team is looking to use that same energy to pick up a second season sweep, this time against St. Scholastica on Saturday, Jan. 22 in front of their home crowd in Claire Lynch Hall. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Per MIAC policy, fans must be masked in the gym at all times. Per Saint Benedict campus policy, fans are being asked to sit in family pods with just the group they came with and to distance themselves from other groups. Fans exhibiting COVID-like symptoms or generally feeling unwell are asked to please stay home and watch the livestream of the game
here. Concessions will not be available.
About the Saints
St. Scholastica is 0-14 on the season, 0-12 in conference play. In their last matchup on Jan. 19, they suffered a 74-39 loss against the league-leading Auggies. Megan Hurley scored 11 points and had four rebounds in the loss. Miranda Broberg leads the Saints in scoring overall, averaging 13 points per game.
Last Meeting
The Bennies outscored the Saints 15-7 in the final quarter gave CSB the 61-49 victory on Nov. 20 in Duluth after being only ahead by four points at the end of the third quarter.
Tori Szathmary scored 16 points and pulled 12 rebounds in the win for the Bennies, and

Carla Meyer both scored 13 points.
The Storyline
The College of Saint Benedict basketball team heads into Saturday's game with a season sweep under their belt after beating Saint Mary's 69-53 in Winona on Wednesday. The team looks to continue that momentum into Saturday's game to sweep St. Scholastica. CSB also looks to take advantage of playing on its home court Saturday as it hits the road for three straight away games starting Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Carleton.
