ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - A stellar weekend for College of Saint Benedict golf first-year Hallie Johnson (Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing) landed her The House / St. Cloud Orthopedics CSB Athlete of the Week honors Monday, Oct. 5. It is the second weekly accolade for Johnson in her young career.Â
Â
Playing in the 2026 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships Friday-Sunday, Oct. 2-4, recorded the best overall finish for CSB, as she tied for 13th. Johnson recorded a 16-over 232 for the tournament, putting her in a tie for the second-lowest 54-hole score in school history. It is the best score since Bridget Cimmings fired a 232 in 2013. Kathryn Hauff, one of the most decorated golfers in school history, set the program record with a 231 in 2011 behind a runner-up finish at the MIAC Championships. Hauff finished her career as a two-time NCAA Division III All-American, along with a slew of other honors.Â
Â
The first-year finished her first career championship appearance with a two-over 74 on the first day before firing seven-over 79s on the final two rounds. She helped CSB to a sixth-place finish with a 54-hole score of 944. The tournament total for the Bennies is the second-best in program history, just one stroke shy of the all-time record set at the 2017 MIAC Championships.Â
Â
With the conclusion of the conference championship, the Bennies turn their attention to the 2027 portion of the season.Â
