EDINA, Minn. - The College of Saint Benedict golf team wrapped up the 2026 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships with a sixth-place finish Sunday, Oct. 4. CSB shot a 25-over 313 on the final round of the par 72, 5,691-yard Braemar Golf Course, finishing the tournament with a 54-hole score of 944. The tournament total for the Bennies is the second-best in program history, just one stroke shy of the all-time record set at the 2017 MIAC Championships.
Junior Sophia Anderson (Albany, Minn./Albany Area) shot a three-over 75 to finish with the best round of the day by a Bennie. Anderson finished the front nine one-under par, using a pair of birdies on holes one and seven and an eagle on four. Anderson finished the championship in a tie for 16th after firing a 54-hole score of 19-over 235. Junior

The 54-hole score for the first-year ties the second-lowest round in school history and is the best since Bridget Cummings finished with a 232 in 2013. Kathryn Hauff set the program record in 2011 behind a runner-up finish at the MIAC Championships and finished her career as a two-time NCAA Division III All-American.
Junior Avery Maus (Kimball, Minn./Kimball Area) joined Johnson with a 79 on the day, breaking 80 for the first time in her career. Maus birdied the last two holes of the tournament to secure the career-low score. Sophomore
Layla Mathews (Becker, Minn./Becker) shot an eight-over 80 to finish the weekend in a tie for 29th. All five Bennies boasted a career-low 54-hole score.
