ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - A stellar weekend for College of Saint Benedict golf first-year Hallie Johnson (Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing) landed her The House / St. Cloud Orthopedics CSB Athlete of the Week honors Monday, Oct. 5. It is the second weekly accolade for Johnson in her young career.
Playing in the 2026 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships Friday-Sunday, Oct. 2-4, recorded the best overall finish for CSB, as she tied for 13th. Johnson recorded a 16-over 232 for the tournament, putting her in a tie for the second-lowest 54-hole score in school history. It is the best score since Bridget Cimmings fired a 232 in 2013. Kathryn Hauff, one of the most decorated golfers in school history, set the program record with a 231 in 2011 behind a runner-up finish at the MIAC Championships. Hauff finished her career as a two-time NCAA Division III All-American, along with a slew of other honors.
The first-year finished her first career championship appearance with a two-over 74 on the first day before firing seven-over 79s on the final two rounds. She helped CSB to a sixth-place finish with a 54-hole score of 944. The tournament total for the Bennies is the second-best in program history, just one stroke shy of the all-time record set at the 2017 MIAC Championships.
With the conclusion of the conference championship, the Bennies turn their attention to the 2027 portion of the season.
