CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- With extraordinary effort in the classroom, the College of Saint Benedict golf team has earned 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team honors in an announcement made today (July 16).
The 11-member Bennies squad, directed by head coach
Daryl Schomer, was ranked 13
th in NCAA DIII with a 3.769 GPA. In total 25 programs, including four from the MIAC, were recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom.
Last fall, the CSB team finished sixth at the MIAC Championship on Sept. 28-30 at the St. Cloud (Minn.) Country Club.
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 750 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting, and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
