BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Seniors
Catherine Jance (Hopkins, Minn.) and
Maggie Roth (Rush City, Minn.) of the College of Saint Benedict golf team were named to the All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Team, the league office announced Monday, May 11.
Jance and Roth had standout senior campaigns with strong performances at the MIAC Championships held at Braemar Golf Course in Edina, Minn., last fall. The duo helped lead the Bennies to a fourth-place finish with a three-round total of 962 (329-309-320), marking CSB's best finish since placing runner-up in 2018 and the program's lowest MIAC Championship score since the 2017-18 season (943).

The seniors also played key roles in one of the top seasons in program history. CSB established a new 36-hole program record with a 611 during the 2025 season and also set a new 18-hole school record during the 2025-26 campaign. One of the team's signature performances came at the St. Kate's Invitational, where the Bennies shattered multiple records. CSB's two-round total of 611 eclipsed the previous school mark of 623, set in both 2018 and earlier this season, while their opening-round 302 broke the long-standing 18-hole record of 306 established in 2005.
Jance and Roth become the 47th and 48th golfers in program history to earn All-MIAC recognition. CSB has now produced at least one All-MIAC golfer in six consecutive seasons and in 15 of the past 16 years. It also marks the first time since the 2018-19 season that the Bennies have had multiple All-MIAC selections.
The All-MIAC team is determined through a combination of MIAC Championship results and end-of-season coaches voting. The top 10 finishers, including ties, at the conference championships automatically receive all-conference honors, while five additional selections are determined through coach voting based on season-long performance.
Jance, a biology major, earned All-MIAC honors for the second consecutive season and also received the MIAC Elite 22 Award following a breakout senior campaign. She recorded a career-best three-round score of 235 (79-76-80) at the MIAC Championships to place ninth overall and earn a spot on the 10-member All-Championship Team. During the tournament, she totaled 28 pars and five birdies.
An Academic All-MIAC and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection in 2024-25, Jance finished the 2025-26 season with six top-10 performances, including four top-five finishes, while ranking fifth in the MIAC with a 77.7 scoring average. Over 15 rounds, she totaled 1,165 strokes and recorded a season-low round of 71, tied for the second-lowest score in program history.
One of her top performances came at the St. Kate's Invitational in September, where she fired rounds of 72 and 71 for a program-record 143 and finished runner-up individually.
Roth, a strategic communication studies/theatre major and two-time Academic All-MIAC honoree, finished tied for 18th at the MIAC Championships with a career-best 244 (82-77-85), improving her previous championship best by three strokes. She posted five top-20 finishes this season, including two top-10 performances, while averaging 80.1 over 15 rounds.
Her best two-round score of 156 (77-79) came at both the DIII Classic in September 2025 and the Northfield Open in April 2026. Roth also recorded a career-best 152 (73-79) at the D3 Central Region Preview in September 2025. She concluded her collegiate career with 15 top-20 finishes, including eight top-10 performances.
