ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team has been solid in MIAC play this season, and made its way up to third in the MIAC standings after a big win on the road earlier this week. ABOUT THE PIPERS
Hamline is 6-5-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the MIAC and looking to keep up a two-game unbeaten streak after sneaking out a 1-0 win over Carleton and a 0-0, double overtime tie against Scholastica. Cailey Schmitt and Anna Browne lead the team with 10 points each and Browne has a team-high five goals. Lauren Sicora is second in the league with 81 saves.
LAST MEETING
Saint Benedict beat the Pipers 2-1 in overtime the last time the two teams met on Sept. 21, 2019, in St. Joseph. The Bennies outshot Hamline 20-8, including 11-4 in shots on goal.
THE STORYLINE
With just four games left in the regular season, each and every game is a big game from here on out. A road win at Bethel pushed the Bennies up to third in the MIAC, and the team looks to hold onto that spot - or move up - for seeding purposes in the MIAC Tournament.
