ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team already knows it has a spot in the 2017 MIAC Tournament – now it's up to the team to determine what seed it gets.
CSB is currently the fourth seed in the conference, but could move as high as second with a win over Carleton and some help from around the league. Saturday's regular-season finale starts at 3:30 p.m. at the turf field on College Avenue.
About the Knights
Carleton is out of the playoff races at 7-6-3 overall and 3-4-3 in the MIAC, but heads into Saturday's match on a two-game winning streak. Nora Mertz is fourth in the league in goals (10) and fifth in points (20) and Emma Wasend is third with six assists.

The Storyline
While Carleton is playing to end the season on a high note, CSB looks to improve its seeding at get at least one home playoff game. A CSB win, paired with St. Olaf and St. Thomas losses, would move Saint Benedict up to the second seed and give the team a bye in Tuesday's first round. A third- or fourth-seed would mean CSB hosts Tuesday afternoon.
