ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team faces another tough test Wednesday, Sept. 28, when it travels to take on Minneapolis to take on Augsburg College. CSB and the Auggies are at the top of the conference leaderboard, so Wednesday's 7:30 p.m. game could have big implications for postseason standings down the road.
About the Auggies
Augsburg enters Wednesday's game 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the MIAC. The Auggies' one loss was a 1-0 loss to Loras in their first game of the season, and that marked one of just two goals they have given up this season. Since then Augsburg has won seven straight, including a 3-0 win over St. Scholastica Friday. Ashley St. Aubin leads the team and the MIAC in goals (7) and is second in the league in points (18). Teammate Carter Denison is second in the MIAC with five assists, and goalies Marissa Guillou and Emily Chapman are both in the top four in the MIAC in three categories.

Taylor Hedin leads the MIAC with six assists and is fourth with 16 points. Senior goalie
Heather Kaluzniak is second in the league with 45 saves after adding eight to her resume Saturday against Carleton.
The Storyline
CSB and Augsburg are both undefeated in the conference so far this season, but that will change for one team Wednesday. This key matchup could play a role in playoff seeding down the road, so it is important for both teams. The Auggies have only given up two goals all season, but CSB's offense looks to add a few to that total. Saint Benedict is trying to continue its solid season and improve on its 6-1-2 overall record and 2-0-1 mark in the MIAC.
