London Stelten is 3-for-3 so far this indoor track and field season: three meets, three wins, three personal bests.
 
Stelten’s latest personal best was not just her best, but the best indoor pole vault mark in CSB track and field history. With a new school record, London Stelten is this week’s College of Saint Benedict athlete of the week. Stelten set the record at the Hamster Invite on Friday at Macalaster with a vault of 3.71 meters.
 
This mark is one centimeter better than the previous indoor record of 3.70 meters, set in 2011 by Danielle Busch.
 
The 3.71-meter mark increased her personal best by 13 centimeters and is now 35 centimeters ahead of the next closest competitor in the MIAC. As of Monday, she is ranked ninth in Division III indoor track and field.
 
The track and field team has their its competition Saturday, Feb. 11 when it hosts the SCB|SJU Invite at the McNeely Spectrum on the SJU campus.
