Emma Weber had a successful senior season for the College of Saint Benedict cross country team, but she truly saved her best race for last.
Â
On Saturday at the NCAA Central Region cross country meet in Northfield, Weber finished 18
th out of more than 200 runners. In addition, she was the eighth MIAC runner to finish. Her success this past weekend makes Weber this week’s College of Saint Benedict Athlete of the Week.
Â
In Northfield, Weber finished her 6K in a time of 23:03.7, which is a new personal best and ties her for the 10
th fastest 6K time in CSB history. This race was the last of her college career and left her just shy of getting an individual bid to the NCAA National Championships.
Â
To finish her season, Weber earned All-Region honors for the first time in her career, and just a few weeks ago Weber earned All-MIAC honors for the first time in her career as well. Finally, Weber finished her season with five top 25 finishes this season, and finished top 18 in four of the five.
