WOODBURY, Minn. - The College of Saint Benedict golf team sits in fifth place after day one of the St. Kate's Fall Invite, hosted by St. Catherine University, Saturday, Sept. 19. The Bennies fired a 311 on the opening round. 

 

Junior Sophia Anderson (Albany, Minn./Albany Area) fired a three-over 75 to top the team, sitting in a tie for 12th. First-year Hallie Johnson (Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing) closely follows in a tie for 16th following a round of four-over 76. Junior Kenna Henriksen (Olivia, Minn./BOLD) rounded out the top-three for the Bennies with a seven-over 79.  

 

University of Wisconsin-Sout leads the way after shooting a six-over 294. Macalester is second behind a 14-over 302. St. Catherine follows right behind with a 15-over 303. St. Olaf College sits in front of CSB with a 16-over 304. UW-Stout's Julia Imai fired a six-under 66. 

 

The final round of the invite will take place at Braemar Golf Course Sunday, Sept. 20. Tee times are set for 12 p.m.
