A native of North Oaks, Minn., Stinnett netted four goals across two games to help the Bennies (14-7-3) secure the No. 3 seed and a semifinal bye in the MIAC Playoffs. Saint Benedict will face second-seeded and No. 7-ranked Hamline University at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 28, at TRIA Rink. The weekend sweep lifted CSB to a 9-6-3 mark in MIAC play and gave the Bennies the tiebreaker advantage over Gustavus for the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.
On Friday, Stinnett scored the first two goals in a 3-1 win at the Moorhead Sports Center. She followed that performance by scoring the game-tying and game-winning goals — the latter with just 43 seconds remaining — in a 3-2 comeback victory on Feb. 21.
Stinnett now has eight goals and seven assists for 15 points this season. She has fired 71 shots and recorded four game-winning goals, tying the program's single-season record alongside Kelly Wegwerth (2000-01), Paul Vogt (1999-00), Mollie Wise (2019-20), Susan Engel (2003-04),
Ava Stinnett (2022-23) and
Aurora Opsahl (2023-24).
In 75 career games, Stinnett has totaled 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 points on 208 shots, along with six game-winning goals. That total ranks tied for seventh all-time at Saint Benedict with Wegwerth (1998-02), Kate Rollwagner (1998-02) and Wise (2016-20).
