NORTHFIELD, Minn. – First-year
Allison Banse had three top-eight finishes to lead the College of Saint Benedict track and field team at the Ole Open, hosted by St. Olaf, on Saturday, May 3.
Banse finished fourth in the shot put by throwing the instrument 11.73 m – 38-06. She was sixth in the javelin throw at 28.11m – 92-02 and eighth in the discus with a personal-best of 38.18m – 125-03.
Senior
Lexi Torres placed sixth in the hammer throw at 38.38m – 125-11. She was 11
th in the shot put at 10.24m – 33-07.25.
In the 800-meter, junior
Meaghan McDonald was 10
th in a personal-best of 2:30.78 while junior
Isabel Kraabel had a personal-best of 2:44.28 in placing 12
th.
Next for CSB track and field will be the MIAC Championships on May 9-10 in St. Paul, Minn.
