Bohlman, Lewis, Cavanaugh and Mosley lead CSB Lacrosse to a win over Augsburg

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - First-year standout Izzy Bohlman scored four goals and added an assist, while Chloe Lewis notched her first career shutout as the College of Saint Benedict lacrosse team dominated Augsburg, 25-0, in a WIAC matchup on Wednesday at Edor Nelson Field.

With the win, the Bennies improved to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in WIAC play, marking their second consecutive conference victory. Augsburg dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in league play. The win was historic for CSB, as 13 different players scored—a first in program history. The Bennies also recorded a program-best with 25 goals in a game.

Bohlman, who now has five multi-goal games in her debut season, is tied with Ava Mosley for second on the team with 18 goals. Mosley also tallied three goals, marking her fourth multi-goal effort of the season.

Sophomores Emma Nelson and Tess Cavanaugh each posted three goals and an assist. For Nelson, it was her third multi-goal game, while Cavanaugh set a new career high. Lizzie Schrubbe, Emma Halweg, and Sami Hackley each scored twice, with Hackley notching her 28th career multi-goal game. She now leads the team with 20 goals this season.

Lilly Fandel Thompson contributed three assists, while Jenna Fodstad chipped in two assists and a goal. Additional goal scorers included Ella Steinke, Kamryn Peterson, Mady Schreifels, Emma Schrepfer, and Hanna Kurowski.

CSB exploded to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, firing 23 shots. They extended their lead to 17-0 by halftime and finished the game with an 8-0 second half.

Statistically, CSB dominated across the board—holding a 17-7 edge in ground balls, winning 27 of 28 draw controls, completing both of their clears, and converting all seven free-position shots.

Up next, the Bennies travel to face Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday, April 13, before returning home to host UW-Eau Claire on Monday, April 14.
