Sabriya Farquharson
A chemistry major from Nassau, Bahamas, Farquharson excelled in the jumps for the Bennie track and field team in 2023-24. Farquharson was named CSB's first-ever MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Rookie of the Year after winning the long jump in 5.61m – 18-05, a mark that ranks second all-time in program history. She also earned honorable mention All-MIAC by placing sixth in the triple jump in 10.78M - 35-04.50. With her efforts in the jumps, she helped CSB finish third in the MIAC Championship with a program-best 136.33 points.

CSB head track and field coach Robin Balder-Lanoue said Farquharson stepped up right away as a competitor and teammate.

"Sabriya immediately had an impact on our team with her drive, passion, and spunk," said Balder-Lanoue. "She brings these qualities to every single practice and meet.  We are excited to see what she does in the future."

During the MIAC Indoor Championships, she earned All-MIAC honors by registering a long jump of 5.33M - 17-06, which placed her third in the competition and is a mark that ranks fourth all-time in school history. She was also honorable mention All-MIAC in the triple jump at 10.67M - 34-10.5 as CSB placed second in the team standings with 120 points, which was the Bennies' best team total since 2014. Eight times, outdoors, she had top-four finishes, including two titles. Six times during the indoor season, Farquharson placed top-four in the jumps and won four titles.
Lizzie Schrubbe

Schrubbe, an exercise and health sciences major from Andover, Minn., earned first-team All-MLC honors while helping lead CSB lacrosse to a 5-0 record and a second straight regular season MLC title. Overall, Schrubbe was a key contributor in a 9-5 season by ranking fifth in the MLC with 80 points, including a program-best 50 assists and 30 goals in 14 games.

CSB head coach Patrick Crandall was impressed how Schrubbe took command of the offense and delivered for the Bennies from shot-making to assisting teammates.

"Lizzie was one of those players who needed to quickly adjust to the college game. In addition, she plays a position that is like a quarterback in football, so she had a lot of information to digest and a big role to play for a team that had hopes of repeating as conference champions. Lizzie took on that role and flourished, she was able to help bring the team to a new level," said Crandall.

In 2024, Schrubbe recorded 35 ground balls, had three draw controls, and registered two game-winning goals. In her first year, she had 10 multi-goal games with a high of five against Augsburg on April 12. Twice, she registered double-digit point totals, which was also a program-first. Schrubbe set the program record for points in a game with 12 and assists in a game with 11 against Hamline in a 15-13 win on April 24. Five times she had five or more assists in a game.

"Lizzie showecased an ability to score when needed, but where she really excelled was in the ability to make an assist," said Crandall. "She is a smart and creative player that helped this team win another conference championship."
