ST. JOSEPH, Minn. -- McKenna Moehrle of the College of Saint Benedict volleyball team, who averaged 4.43 kills per set and hit .510 in leading the Bennies to a pair of wins this week, has been named the St. Cloud Orthopedic / CSB Athlete of the Week.

Moehrle, a sophomore middle blocker from Eden Valley, Minn., also averaged 4.86 points as the Bennies had a 2-0 record with a 3-1 win over Carleton and 3-0 sweep over Concordia in road MIAC games.

This week, Moehrle recorded 18 kills and a .517 hitting mark against Carleton. Then, she had 13 kills and a .500 hitting mark in the sweep of Concordia. She has achieved double-digit kills in 14 matches this season, accumulating 31 kills in her last two games with only five errors, showcasing an impressive .510 hitting percentage over that stretch. 

She has double-digit kills in seven of her last eight matches. On the season, she is averaging 2.75 kills per set with 231 kills on 552 attacks and a team-best .255 hitting mark. She also has 62 total blocks or 0.74 per set. Among her blocks is a team-high 11 solo blocks.

Next for Moehrle and Saint Benedict volleyball is a road contest against Saint Mary's at 7 p.m., on Nov. 6.
