WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. – Emily Renner and Maggie Roth placed in the top 30 individually to lead the College of Saint Benedict to an eighth place finish at the Rumble at the Ridge, hosted by Bethel, on Sunday, April 23.

After the first day of the tournament was canceled on Saturday, April 22 due to weather and course conditions, the 11 teams competed in an 18-hole stroke play competition on Sunday. With junior Emily Renner placing 12^th with a five-over par 77, the Bennies took eighth with a round of 48-over par for 336 on the par 72, 5,704 yard Oneka Ridge Golf Course. CSB, which has carded 336 in back-to-back competitions this spring, will conclude the regular season schedule at the St. Olaf Invite on April 29-30 in Northfield, Minn.

St. Catherine, led by three players in the top four, won the event with a 14-over par 302 followed by host Bethel at 20-over par 308. Katie Reeves of St. Catherine and Kyra Venne of St. Catherine both carded even rounds of 72 to finished tied for individual honors.

For the second straight meet, Renner carded a five-over par 77. On April 15, the two-time All-MIAC honoree, was fifth at the Gustie Spring Invite. On Sunday at the Rumble at the Ridge, she was tied for 12th with another round of 77. Today, she had 11 pars with birdies on the par 4, 313-yard 12^th hole and the par five 457-yard hole 13. Renner now has had seven sub-80 rounds this season.

First-year Maggie Roth had a 10-over round of 82 as she placed on CSB and was tied for 29^th at the tourney. She had six pars along with a birdie on the par 4, 313 hole 12. Roth jumped up 12 shots from her 94 at the Gustie Spring Invite. She bettered her season best of 87 last Sept. 3-4 (2022) at the CSB Invite by five shots.

Sophomore Sami Boerboom was tied for 44^th by a carding a 16-over par round of 88. She had seven pars in her round.

First-year Jamie Bimberg was tied for 48^th with a round of 17-over par 89. She had a birdie on the par five, 466-yard hole one and three pars.

Sophomore Georgia Hinton placed 63^rd with a 25-over par round of 97. She had four pars.
