ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict basketball team is looking forward to being back on its home court after going 1-2 on the road in the team's last three games. About the Scots

The Scots are 8-11 overall, 6-10 in MIAC play so far this season. Their latest game was against Carleton Wednesday which they lost 67-73 after a low-scoring first quarter for the Scots. Celine Sabbagh scored 17 points and Katherine Norquist pulled 12 rebounds to pace the Scots in the loss. Sabbagh leads the team in scoring with 14.8 points per game on average.

Last Meeting

The Bennies and the Scots last met earlier this season on Dec. 11 where the Bennies lost by just a five-point margin, losing 62-57. A low-scoring third quarter haunted CSB and their 30-point fourth-quarter push wasn't enough to get them back ahead of the Scots. Madison Doran scored 19 points to lead the Bennies and Lydia Hay and Gabby Martin each scored 14 points in the loss.

The Storyline

The Bennies have six games left in the regular season and are looking to keep in the top six in conference in order to get a first round by in the all-comers tournament. CSB is currently 11-7 overall, 8-7 in MIAC play. A win over the Scots would give them a series split this season and break a two-game losing streak after their 78-59 loss to Bethel on Wednesday.

Who to Watch

Sophomore Carla Meyer had her career-best game against Bethel on Wednesday, scoring 26 points. Meyer continues to lead the Bennies in scoring with 14.5 points per game average, which puts her seventh in the MIAC, and averages 2.9 assists per game.
