ST. JOSEPH, MINN. – Goals from

Alli Voss and
Lana Krautkremer lifted the College of Saint Benedict Soccer Team (12-5, 8-2 MIAC, 2
nd) to a 3-1 MIAC win over St. Scholastica (2-10-5, 1-6-3) in the regular season home finale for the Bennies on Tuesday afternoon at the CSB Soccer Field.
With the win, CSB moved to 12-5 on the season and 8-2 in the MIAC as the Bennies retained a hold on second place. The Bennies wrapped up their regular season home schedule with a perfect 7-0 mark for the first time in many years.
In the opening half, the CSB took control late in the half after both defenses were solid in the early going. Junior defender
Lindsay Mueller scored her first career goal off an assist from first-year defender
Mary Blaska as CSB scored at 26:27 of the half. Later, sophomore
Alli Voss stole a pass and had a breakaway which resulted in her 12
th goal of the season and gave CSB a 2-0 lead at 31:13. The Bennies, which had five shots and seven corners in the first half, applied pressure throughout. CSB padded their lead with a goal from
Lana Krautkremer off an assist from sophomore
Sydney Burns at the 68:42 mark for a 3-0 lead. It was Krautkremer's third goal of the season and fifth of her career.
The Saints scored their only goal at the 82:02 mark off the foot of Hunter Zamzow who had an assist from Brooke Fieldson.

Annie Waters had two saves as she faced three shots in 45 minutes in the opening half. Both teams had three fouls each.
Paige Kahlmeyer and
Madisen Carter also tended goal for CSB in the second half.
The Bennies, which will travel to face league leader Carleton (12-1-2, 8-0-2 MIAC) at 1 pm on Saturday, Oct. 29, outshot the Saints, 14-to-7, with a 9-to-5 advantage in shots on goal. CSB also held an 8-to-1 edge in corner kicks.
Stat Wrap - With 12 wins this season, the Bennies have registered the most wins in a season since going 14-4-1 (8-3 MIAC) in 2014. CSB, which has 12 wins or more 20 times in school history, is now tied with Carleton for the most goals in the league at 39 and with 13 allowed sits second in the league. Voss has taken over the league lead among individuals in goals with 12 and had her sixth game-winning goal this year, which is tops in the league and top 10 nationally. She leads the MIAC with 27 points.
