ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – After taking on Gustavus - which is second in the MIAC - on Wednesday, the College of Saint Benedict basketball team is back at it Saturday against MIAC-leading Augsburg. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Claire Lynch Hall as the Bennies look to pick up some wins against top teams as they get into the heart of the conference season.
Per MIAC policy, fans must be masked in the gym at all times. Per Saint Benedict campus policy, fans are being asked to sit in family pods with just the group they came with and to distance themselves from other groups. Fans exhibiting COVID-like symptoms or generally feeling unwell are asked to please stay home and watch the livestream of the game

ABOUT THE AUGGIES
Augsburg leads the MIAC with a perfect 9-0 conference record and is 9-3 overall this season. Jen Masello is in the top three in the conference in scoring (15.1) and rebounds (9.9) per game, and three other players also average double digit points per game. After losing three straight to start the season, the Auggies haven't lost since Nov. 17.
LAST MEETING
The last time the Bennies and the Auggies met, Augsburg came away with a 59-51 win on March 6, 2021 in St. Joseph. The two teams split a pair of games last spring with the Bennies winning 68-62 on March 3 in Minneapolis.

Kate Seyer all had double-digit points and
Tori Szathmary had a career-high 13 rebounds in the win.
THE STORYLINE
The Bennies played hard against a tough Gustavus squad on Wednesday night, and Saturday the team looks to stay consistent all game against another tough team in the Auggies. CSB also looks to take advantage of playing at home while it can, because after Saturday, four of the team's next five games are on the road.
WHO TO WATCH
Carla Meyer led the team once again with 17 points against Gustavus Wednesday, and
Nancy Soro finished with nine points and a team-high six rebounds. Meyer and
Gabby Martin both average double-digits scoring for the Bennies, and
Tori Szathmary is fourth in the MIAC at 7.5 rebounds per game.
