MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict hockey team wrapped up its weekend series with Augsburg with a 4-0 loss Saturday afternoon in Minneapolis.
Augsburg scored a single goal in the first period, but that would be all the Auggies (12-5, 7-3) would need. They added a pair of goals in the second and one with 13 seconds left in the game to wrap up scoring.
CSB put eight shots on net in the first period, including late shots from both
Rylan Bistodeau and
Courtney Conlin. The Bennies finished with 16 total shots on net to Augsburg's 33, including two each from Conlin,
Riley Schneider,
Julia Pias and
Maria Wallace.
Kailee Medved made 29 saves in the loss, including 11 in both the second and third periods.
CSB returns to action Friday, Jan. 31, when it heads to Northfield to take on St. Olaf. The two teams play again at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the MAC in St. Cloud.
