She has earned many honors in her hockey career, including the Hobey Baker High School Character Award (2017-18), team captain (2017-18), Northwest Suburban All-Conference (2017-18), and Academic All-State hockey (2016-18). The proudest moment of her career was taking the role of a defenseman her senior year. Pias had never played defense before, but her coach asked her to take on the role and it made her realize that the team’s success is more important than solely hers.

Personal: Julia is the daughter of Dan and Nancy Pias. She has one brother, Zach, who attended SJU. Her hobbies are working out, spending time at her cabin, water skiing, and card games. She is an accounting and finance major. She looks forward to playing for CSB hockey to continue playing the game she has grown up playing and loves. She also loves the team aspect of hockey and having a second family who always has your back.
