About the Scots:
After a slow start to their season, the Scots have been hot of late. They have now won four games in a row and have not lost since September 23rd (Wartburg). Their last loss to a MIAC team was September 15th, when they lost to first-place Gustavus. They are led by the conference's toughest defense, which is allowing just 0.62 goals per conference match. They are currently tied for third place in the MIAC standings with Augsburg.
Â
Storyline:
With two games left in the conference season, six teams are separated by just three points. Of those six teams, it is likely that four will make the playoffs. Both teams need win today to put themselves on the inside track for a MIAC playoff spot. The game is sure to be exciting, as the Saint Ben's-Macalester rivalry is already a storied rivalry in MIAC soccer. Macalester leads the series 12-8-5.

Last Time Out:
On Saturday, the Blazers snapped a two game slide with a 4-1 victory over the Hamline University Pipers. Hedin got the scoring started in the match's second minute, scoring on a lob shot from the top of the box. In the game's ninth minute, Hedin added another goal, this time scoring off a penalty kick. That goal made her the lone team leader in goals scored for exactly two minutes and nine seconds. At 10:17, Hedin assisted another goal to Hoffman, which brought Hoffman into a tie with Hedin for the team lead in goals scored (seven). Senior Midfielder Peggy Renier added a goal in the second half, and the Blazers went on to win 4-1.
