NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict volleyball team started its final stretch of the regular season with a 3-0 sweep of St. Olaf College Friday night in Northfield, Minn.
The Blazers improve to 17-8 overall and 6-2 in the MIAC with three games left in the regular season. CSB is now in third in the conference behind Augsburg and St. Thomas, which are both 7-1.
Saint Benedict won Friday night by scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-19.

Mary Franz led a balanced offense with eight kills each. The Blazers had 40 total kills to St. Olaf's 20.
Taya Kockelman finished with 35 assists and six digs, and Schmitt led the defense with 14 digs.
Victoria Nass pitched in with 10 digs.
Lexie Read paced St. Olaf with seven kills. Kersten Bork had nine assists and Bork and Maggie Prunty each had nine digs. The Oles are 2-6 and in 10
th place in the MIAC.
The Blazers are back in action Saturday, Oct. 25, when they take on Gustavus at 3 p.m. in St. Peter, Minn. The Gusties are currently 11-11 overall and 5-3 and in sixth in the MIAC.
