It's senior day for the Saint Benedict soccer team when they host Saint Mary's at 1 p.m., Oct. 26. The Blazers will be honoring four seniors who have gone combined 41-22-9 the last four years, including 27-11-4 in MIAC play. They have never finished lower than fourth in the MIAC and won the 2011 MIAC title. CSBBlazers.com caught up with Colleen Bouchard, Kristina Burk, Kaitlyn Lauer and Laura Kosch.

CSBBlazers.com: How fast are the four years going?
Kristina Burk: The four years have gone by so fast. I remember meeting Laura Kosch for the first time as we were both moving into Regina freshmen year like it was yesterday. I would give anything to be a freshman again.
Laura Kosch: I feel like a blinked and I'm a senior. I remember being a freshman looking up at the upperclassmen and thinking "I'm so glad I'm only a freshman I still have four more years!" And here I am now, but I wouldn't have done anything differently and have loved every second of these past years!
Kaitlyn Lauer: My four years have absolutely flown by. I still remember moving in early for tryouts my first year like it was yesterday. I wouldn't trade the experience of being a part of this team for the world.
Colleen Bouchard: Extremely fast.  Even faster than high school

CSB: What's the first thing you think of when talking about your time here?
KB: When our team made it to the NCAA playoffs and beat Loras. Before the game, we were in the training room with some of the Loras players and they were talking about who thought they would be playing in the next couple of rounds of the playoffs.  The whole team was so pumped up and we played an amazing game and beat them.
LK: The amazing and lifelong friendships I have made.
KL: The first thing I think about when talking about my time here are the friendships I have made by being on the team. All of the scores and records will eventually blur together, but I will always remember the memories I made with my teammates.
CB: The great teammates I've gotten to play with.  I love going to practice every day because I know I get to spend time with some of my best friends. The memories I will remember the most will be such things as the inside jokes we have as a team, the bus trips, and the other team bonding events we do throughout the season  .

CSB: Describe your favorite memory as a Blazer.
KB: My favorite memory as a Blazer, was when I scored a goal at home.  I think it was sophomore year and we were playing St. Olaf.  It was a windy day, and I playing defense.  I went to cross the ball and by some miracle, the ball went in the back upper 90 of the net.  I did not think I was going to score, so I had already turned around, so next thing I know Kelsey Faber was giving me a huge hug and the rest of the team was running towards me.  I was so confused and asked what was happening, and she told me I scored!
LK: My favorite memory as a Blazer was beating Loris to make it to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament.
KL: My favorite memory as a Blazer athlete was beating Loras my sophomore year. We were not supposed to beat them, but we were on a whole new level that day. We all played with so much heart; it was such a fun and exciting win.
CB: My favorite memory as a Blazer would probably have to be beating Concordia to win the MIAC playoffs sophomore year and then just the whole overall experience of playing in the NCAA tournament. One of the little memories that sticks from that time was our impromptu Thanksgiving team dinner we had when we were out at a restaurant in Chicago.

CSB: What do the other three seniors mean to you?
KB: Well I am living with Laura Kosch now, so I guess her and I are pretty good friends.
I am just kidding, I absolutely love all of them! We are all close. I could count on them for anything on or off the field and I would do the same for them.  Also I like to think that us seniors are the four coolest people on the team, so naturally we are all BFFLs (best friends for life)!!
LK: They mean the world to me! They are all unique in their own way and have helped shape my experience as a Blazer in such a positive way.  Every memory I have as a blazer, they are a part of and I wouldn't want it any other way!
KL: The other three seniors mean the world to me. We have been through so much together. We have won and lost together, we have led our team together, we have laughed together, and we have been good friends all the way through. Kosch, Bou and Burk were my first friends in college, and I know these friendships will last far beyond our careers as soccer players. They are the best!
CB: They mean so much to me.  They are some of my best friends and they are definitely the reason the past four years have been so memorable for me.  It's been really cool to see how much the program has grown and improved over the last four years, and I would like to think that as a class we've had a big part in helping that happen.

CSB: Do you remember your goals as a first-year? How did it work out?
KB: I think my goals were to play a lot and become a key player to the team.  I think I am doing well, but I guess you will have to ask the team how I did.
KL: My goals have been very similar throughout my career: to constantly improve myself as a soccer player. This might have meant developing my technical skills, fitness, or leadership skills at different times, but I am always working to be better.
CB: I think my goals as a first-year were to just to come in and try and make an impact in whichever way I could.  I think it worked at pretty well.  At that time the team had trouble creating scoring opportunities and I was able to step and help create some chances.

CSB: If you could give one piece of advice to your underclassmen teammates and future Blazers what would it be?
KB: Live it up while you can.  This are the best four years of your life, so make them count!
LK: Soak up every moment of being a Blazer and live these Four years with no regrets because they will go by faster than you could guess and you'll want to look back and not want to change anything.
KL: The advice I would share with my younger teammates is: make the most of every opportunity you have to step out on that field because before you know it, it's over. Play for your teammates and play because you love the game. Go Blazers forever!
CB: Don't look to ahead to much.  Enjoy all the small things and don't take for granted the opportunity you've been given to play collegiate soccer at such a great program like St. Ben's.
