The College of Saint Benedict Blazer soccer team (0-0 MIAC), (1-1-1 overall) was unable to find an offensive rythm as they lost to #14 Wartburg College (0-0 IIAC, 3-0-1 overall) 1-0 in Waverly, Iowa on Friday afternoon .

Senior goalkeeper Shannon Strohm (Burnsville, MN, Apple Valley) collected six saves in the contest for the Blazers but gave up the lone goal of the game at the 55 minute mark to senior midfielder Lauren Thomas.  Saint Benedict held the Knights to only three shots in the second period, but the CSB offense was only able to tally one shot during the last period.  Junior Kelly Suter (Plymouth, MN, Totino-Grace) provided the only shot-on-goal for the Blazers.

The Blazers remain in Waverly, Iowa to face the University of Dubuqe on Saturday, September 12 at 12 pm.
