College of Saint Benedict

2022-2023: Played in 11 games as a first year... recorded first career goal and assist on Nov. 22 against U-W Superior... finished the season with one goal, one assist and 12 shots. 

High School: A 2022 graduate from Madison Memorial High School in Madison, Wisc., she played hockey for four seasons and soccer for three seasons. She was on Team Wisconsin, which was the Hockey State Champions (2020 and 2021), as well as Central District Champions (2021). Her awards include second team All-Conference (2022), Superintendent Award of Excellence (2022), and Hockey All State Tournament Team Honorable Mention (2022). She was the only player at the state tournament to score in the state champion goalie.

Personal: Kaya is the daughter of Alicia and John Pelton-Byce, and has one sibling, Ty. In her free time, she enjoys playing hockey, listening to music, and boating. She is pursuing a global business leadership major and a minor in Data Analytics.
