2008: Technically sound defender … defends opposing offenses well … has the ability to move the ball up the field.

2007:  Played in all 21 games and started 15 of them.

2006: Received more playing time as a sophomore making 16 starts at the defender position for the Blazers … assisted Leah Schleppegrell’s game tying goal in the Blazers’ season-opening 2-1 overtime win over Nebraska Wesleyan (Sept. 1 2006).

2005: Started in four of the 14 games she played in for Saint Benedict … picked up an assist on Tina Lisk’s goal against Linfield in the 2005 season opener (Sept. 3, 2005) … provided depth on the Blazer defense.

High School: A 2005 graduate of Lourdes High School, Murray was coached by Sarah Groven … participated in soccer (four years), track and field (two years) and softball (one year) during her athletic career at Rochester Lourdes … captained her soccer team and was named team MVP … named to the All-Hiawatha Valley Conference soccer team in 2002, 2003 and 2004 … high school teammate of current Blazer soccer player and Karla Schommer …  All-State honorable mention selection in 2004 … member of the Rochester Lourdes soccer teams that were four-time Hiawatha Valley Conference Champions and three-time section champions. 

Personal: Daughter of Lynn and Ray Murray of Rochester, Minn. … brother Mike is a 2006 graduate of Saint John’s University … enjoys the outdoors, photography, studying history, spending time with family and friends and traveling … majoring in Spanish with a minor in history.

Proudest moment of soccer career: “Playing back-to-back games on the road against Simpson College and NE Wesleyan and coming away victors early in the season.”

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I've formed countless relationships and friendships based on my participation as a collegiate student athlete.”
