SAINT PETER, Minn. - The College of Saint Benedict tennis team wrapped up its trip at Gustavus Adolphus College, as the Bennies concluded their time partaking in the Gustie Invite Saturday, Sept. 26. 

 

Senior Kate Perbix (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) was narrowly edged out in the Singles Draw 1 Championship, falling to GAC's Annie Klemmensen behind scores of 6-3, 2-6, 10-5. 

 

In Doubles Draw 1, senior Ella Marohl (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) and junior Allyson Yahn (Pequot Lakes, Minn./Pequot Lakes) bested a pair from University of Wisconsin-River Falls, cruising to am 8-1 win. The duo's weekend came to an end, as they dropped a tiebreaker to a doubles pairing from Bethel University, falling 7-8(5). 

 

Juniors Ava Stritesky (Ostego, Minn./Rogers) and Claire Erdal (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) downed a pair from UWRF, taking the match 8-3. The junior pairing fell to a doubles team from Carthage, 8-5, to end their weekend. 

 

The Bennies will look ahead to match play in the 2027 portion of their season.
