CSB T&F sets four school records with 11 top-10 program marks at the MIAC Championships

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The College of Saint Benedict track and field team recorded one conference title, eight top-four finishes, four school records and 11 top-10 program marks while placing fifth at the MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which concluded Saturday.

The Bennies totaled 78 points in placing fifth in the team standings. Concordia claimed the team title with 172 points.

Senior Mary Kenney (St. Paul, Minn.) highlighted the meet by winning the 3,000-meter steeplechase title in school-record fashion. After finishing third a year ago, Kenney clocked 10:56.27, the 25th-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season. She broke the previous school record of 11:08.05 set by Jenna O'Donnell in 2014 while also establishing a facility record. Kenney added an honorable mention All-MIAC performance in the 5,000 meters, placing fourth in 18:07.60.

Senior Lauren Berg (Bemidji, Minn.) also set a school record while earning All-MIAC honors in the 400-meter hurdles. Berg finished second in 1:01.49, surpassing her previous school record of 1:02.18 set in 2025. Her time ranks 13th in NCAA Division III this season.

The Bennies also turned in a strong showing in the steeplechase behind first-year Daphne Grobstein (Golden Valley, Minn.), who placed fifth in a personal-best 11:30.91, while junior Julia Babineau (Andover, Minn.) finished sixth in a personal-best 11:32.67.

Junior Bella Lund (Mound, Minn.) set another school record for CSB, placing fourth in the 100 meters with a time of 12.17 to earn honorable mention All-MIAC honors. Lund broke Erin Sand's previous school record of 12.18 set in 2012. She also scored in the 200 meters by placing eighth in 26.07. On Friday, Lund advanced to the finals with another personal-best time of 25.62, tying Megan Sundstrom's 2012 mark for fifth in program history.

Senior Jaylyn Ahlberg (Shoreview, Minn.) earned All-MIAC honors in the pole vault for the sixth time between indoor and outdoor competition, clearing 3.53m (11-7). Sophomore McKenna Flinn (Redwood Valley, Minn.) added an eighth-place finish in the pole vault at 3.33m (10-11).

Junior Sabriya Farquharson (Nassau, Bahamas) placed fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.47m (37-7.75), a performance ranked 42nd in NCAA Division III. Juslene Chea (St. Michaels, Minn.) added a seventh-place finish in the triple jump at 11.27m (36-11.75) and placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.12. Chea earned honorable mention All-MIAC honors after breaking the school record in Friday's preliminaries with a time of 14.80.

The Bennies' 4x100-meter relay team of junior Grace Buntrock (Rochester, Minn.), sophomore Anna Gries (Minneapolis, Minn.), senior Myah Nelson (Brainerd, Minn.) and Lund finished seventh in 49.54.

CSB's 4x400-meter relay team of junior Haley Zelen (Shakopee, Minn.), first-year Anna Schottler (Chanhassen, Minn.), first-year Taylor Dean (Hutchinson, Minn.) and Berg earned honorable mention All-MIAC honors with a fourth-place finish in 4:01.53.

Junior Taylor Radaich (Prior Lake, Minn.) posted the sixth-fastest 800-meter time in program history with a personal-best 2:16.85, placing sixth to earn honorable mention All-MIAC recognition.

In the shot put, sophomore Allison Banse (Mankato, Minn.) earned honorable mention All-MIAC honors with a sixth-place finish and a throw of 12.55m (41-2.25).
