ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - After a week off, the College of Saint Benedict soccer team returns to action at Augsburg University for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) contest Saturday, Oct. 10. The Bennies (8-1-1, 3-1-1 MIAC) will battle the Auggies (1-6-2, 1-3-1 MIAC) at 1 p.m.

Saint Benedict enters the bout off a 2-nil shutout over Macalester College Saturday, Oct. 3. It marked the first win over the Scots since 2022, and the first shutout against them since 2021. Senior Rhianna Anya (Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson Sr.) anchored the defense in goal with four saves en route to the third shutout of her career. First-year Lilly DeRosier (Baxter, Minn./Brainerd) and sophomore Veronica Warren (North Oaks, Minn./Mounds View) each scored a goal for CSB in the match.

First-year Eva Gower (Plymouth, Minn./Orono) leads the Bennies with six goals and 15 points this season. Sophomore Elly Prairie (Blaine, Minn./Spring Lake Park) is second with 13 points, while her and DeRosier are tied for second in goals with five apiece. DeRosier rounds out the top-three in points with 11. The trio of Gower, Prairie and sophomore Allison Cammerrer (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) are tied at the top of the team with three assists each.

In goal for Saint Ben's, sophomore Anna Mollenhauer (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna) holds the team-lead in saves with 20. Mollenhauer brings in a .909 save percentage and a .80 GAA spanning 225 minutes into Saturday's match. Anya has added 16 saves behind a .842 save percentage and a .67 GAA across a team-best 405 minutes between the pipes.

CSB and Augsburg will meet on the pitch for the 48th time dating back to the inaugural meeting in 1985. The Bennies boast a 23-20-4 advantage in the series, but have dropped the last two meetings. AU notched a 2-nil victory in the most recent meeting Oct. 1, 2025. Now-sophomore Claire McGrath (Stillwater, Minn./Hill-Murray) made nine saves in goal during the game.
